Headstream

Webflow

Setup

  1. Copy your snippet from Project settings in Headstream.
  2. In Webflow, open your site's settings and go to Custom code.
  3. Paste the snippet into Head code.
  4. Save, then publish your site.

Custom code runs only on the published site, and Webflow limits custom code on free sites, so check that your plan includes it.

<script
  defer
  src="https://headstream-ingest.super-dream-7005.workers.dev/t.js"
  data-key="YOUR_KEY"
></script>

Add your domains

Events only count from domains on your project, and subdomains are included. If you want to test on your webflow.io staging address, add that domain under Project, in the Domains card. Otherwise, test on your live domain.

Webflow forms

The script reads form fields on submit. For email, set the field's type to Email. For other fields, use a name such as Name, Company or Phone in the field settings.

To collect "how did you hear about us?", name the field heard_about. A dropdown or radio group works fine. Answers show up on the Self-reported page. See self-reported attribution.

Track a goal

Most Webflow forms redirect to a thank-you page, or show a success message on the same page. If you redirect, create a path goal such as /thank-you. If you stay on the page, use an event goal with the name form_submit, which the script sends for every form. See goals.

Check it works

Publish, load a page, and check your project's setup status. Webflow doesn't support Headstream's first-party rewrite, since that needs a host-level rewrite, so the standard snippet is the one to use.
