Cursor

Let Cursor do the setup
Open your site's repo in Cursor, then paste this into the agent:
Read https://headstream.app/agent.md and set up Headstream on this site.
The agent shows you a link and a code to approve, saves an API key, creates a project, adds the snippet to your shared <head>, and confirms events are arriving. It asks you when a step needs a person.
Add the MCP server
Create a key in the Headstream dashboard, under Organization, in the API and MCP card. It's shown once, so copy it right away.
Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or to .cursor/mcp.json in a project:
{
"mcpServers": {
"headstream": {
"url": "https://headstream.app/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer hsk_YOUR_KEY"
}
}
}
}
Keys reach every project in your organization. If you use the project file, add it to .gitignore so the key stays out of your repo.
Check Cursor's MCP settings to confirm that the server is listed and its tools have loaded.
What to ask
- "Run the top fix for this project."
- "Which campaigns earned the most under first-touch and last-touch?"
- "Show me sessions with rage clicks this week."
- "Create a goal for the signup page."
The agent can read reports, run any report type through run_report, create goals and dashboards, and record fixes. It can't connect Stripe for you. That step needs you to sign in, and connecting Stripe is in beta.
The full list of tools is in the MCP docs.
