Headstream

An AI assistant that answers from your live reports

Updated 2026-11-02

Headstream's AI assistant sits in a sidebar next to your dashboard. Ask a question in plain English. It runs a live report on your data, shows you the chart, and tells you what it means.

The assistant is built on Claude.

Ask questions your dashboard doesn't answer yet

You don't need to know which report to open. Try questions like these:

  • Which channels produced the most revenue last month?
  • What changed revenue this month compared with last month?
  • Where do people drop off between pricing and signup?
  • Which landing pages produce the most revenue?
  • What do buyers say about how they found us, compared with what we tracked?

The assistant can run all of Headstream's core reports: summaries, trends, breakdowns, revenue trends and breakdowns, what moved revenue, flows, funnels, the country map, goals and self-reported answers.

Numbers come from your data

Many AI tools will guess at a number. This one is set up to avoid that. Each number it states has to come from a report it ran in that conversation. It's told never to estimate or recall a figure, and to say what's missing if the reports can't answer the question.

The chart appears next to the answer, so you can check the numbers yourself. You can also follow any headline number to its Why this number page to see the definition and raw rows.

Like any AI tool, it can make mistakes in how it reads a chart. Check its conclusions before you make a big decision.

Build dashboards by asking

When you find a report worth keeping, ask the assistant to save it. It can create a dashboard and add reports to one, if your role lets you edit. Try "Build me a weekly dashboard with revenue by channel, our signup funnel and top landing pages."

It will only save something when you ask. Otherwise it offers to.

Safe with visitor text

Your data includes text from strangers, such as page paths, referrers and survey answers. The assistant treats all of that as data and is told never to follow instructions found in it. That's how we guard against someone trying to influence it through a crafted URL.

Use it with the rest of Headstream

The assistant is a fast way to reach what's already there: revenue attribution, funnels and flows, and self-reported attribution.

Do you want to work from your own AI tools? The same data is available to agents through MCP, the API and the CLI. If you're new to these reports, our guide to marketing attribution is a good starting point. See pricing for plans.
