Headstream vs Mixpanel
Updated 2026-11-02
Mixpanel is mature product analytics, strong on funnels, retention and cohorts. Headstream starts from Stripe revenue and works back to marketing. If your main questions are about in-product behavior, Mixpanel is the stronger tool.
Side by side
| Headstream | Mixpanel | |

"Not listed" means we couldn't find it on Mixpanel's own site. It doesn't mean they don't offer it, so check with them. We reviewed their site on November 1, 2026.
Pricing
Headstream is free for 10,000 events a month, $99 for 250,000 and $299 for 1 million, pooled across unlimited sites. Mixpanel is free up to 1 million events a month, so it costs less than Headstream at 250,000 and 1 million events. Its Growth plan then charges by usage, up to 20 million events.
Where Mixpanel is the better pick
Deep product analytics at scale, with more attribution models than we offer and a broad set of warehouse connectors.
When to choose Headstream
- You want Stripe connected without building a pipeline.
- You want revenue reconciled to the cent.
- You want marketing answers with less setup.
